Everything is sore and I do mean everything, but man do I feel good. Last night was a marathon. Carys didn’t go soft at all, and I didn’t think that was possible. It wasn’t until the sun had risen and was on its way back down again that he finally was satisfied. After our first time I explained to him what I explained to Yolanda. I wasn’t bothered as much by what we did in the hangar as I was at the lack of guilt I felt. Whenever a man approached me after my husband’s death, I was always assaulted by guilt, making it easy to say no to whatever they were proposing. But I felt no guilt whatsoever after I basically used Carys’ finger as a living mini dildo and that scared the shit out of me. I rub my thumb across the finger that held my wedding bands until yesterday.

After I left the hospital, I went home to pack a spenddanight bag and for the first time ever, I removed my rings with no intention of putting them back on. I took Callum’s wedding band off and placed them with my bands inside my jewelry box and locked the drawer. I am finally ready to move forward in my life. In every way.

Soon I would have to get up so I can go to the hospital and pick Yolanda up. We hired a twenty-four-hour nurse, a cook, and housekeeper to take care of her until she gets better. I am so grateful that she is ok.

When the insurance company sent pictures of her car, it was nothing short of a miracle that all she walked away with was a concussion, a few bumps, scrapes and a broken leg. And just like she said, the little old lady, Carol’s car was fine, not even a scratch. Wait until she finds out what I did! Hell, I can hardly believe what I did, but I don’t regret it at all.

“You’re awake, would you like some breakfast?” Carys asks from the doorway.

“No, I need to get up, wash and get dressed. I need to be at the hospital to pick up Landa.”

“I can take you. I don’t think she will be able to fit in your little car.”

“Don’t hate on my car, ok! I want to get her on my own, and I have another car. Thank you very much.”

“Okay. Well, you better get up and get going.” Carys says, kissing me on the forehead.
